01 Février 2017 – More Electric Aircraft 2017 (MEA 2017) - Bordeaux

09 h Palais des Congrès, Bordeaux

01-02/02/17 au Palais des Congrès, Bordeaux

More Electric Aircraft technology has continued to develop, mature and enter into service over recent years with impressive advances being seen in all of the domains across the related aerospace technologies, including the flight of all-electric prototypes. The MEA2017 conference will showcase state of the art developments and upcoming technologies, to be presented by representatives from worldwide industry and academia.

Building on the technologies developed for the first generation of more-electric platforms such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 787, these experts will discuss and review how the adoption of more electrical technology in design and operation is being driven by strong advances in many of the key building blocks such as wide bandgap devices, energy storage technologies, new manufacturing processes, power generation and distribution architectures, and the adoption of new materials. Whilst much work has already been demonstrated on more-electrical platforms, there is much more to do to further increase the power density and improve the reliability whilst making the most of the natural advantages of electrical technology, topics which will be addressed in-depth at the conference.

The MEA 2017 Programme Committee has planned a rich conference thanks to a very strong line-up of plenary and keynote speakers.  These will be complemented by highly interactive poster sessions which will cover a broad range of more electrical aircraft topics including energy storage, operations on ground, thermal management, power generation and distribution, actuation systems and the more electric engine.

Attending this conference is an opportunity not to be missed if you are working in the field.  You will have the chance to meet worldwide industrial and academic colleagues as well as enjoy the beautiful city and food of Bordeaux, a great environment for networking.

We look forward to welcoming you next February at the conference.
